The Scout Association promotes the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them to achieve their full potential. In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are ‘learning by doing’, which means we give them responsibility work in teams, make them take acceptable risks and think for themselves. This helps the scouts become better all-rounded people and good ‘team players’.
Our exciting program gives them a chance to learn new things and widen their knowledge on many things like survival skills, global issues, the local community and how to build new friendships.
The 74th world tour continues next year to Holland, but we have many more camping opportunities are ahead of this exciting trip! To join a dynamic troop please contact St. Luke’s office via the contact form or on 01923 246161. Or you can visit https://www.scouts.org.uk/ for more information about the organisation.
