Thank you for the lovely send-off that you all gave me last Sunday. The flowers are beautiful, the chocolates delicious, and the card filled with so many kind words from you. Thank you too for the very generous financial gift. Gift Day. After our treasurer’s report at the APCM, there will be a gift day on Sunday November 1st. More details nearer the time.
Offering. There will be an offertory plate at the back of church if you would like to drop something in on your way out. Quarantining procedures will be followed to keep everyone safe.
Urgent appeal for babygrows and vests for babies 0-3months old for Alternatives Watford’s Baby Box scheme. Donations will be collected in the church office.
New Wine. A group from St Luke’s will be going to New Wine (United A) next summer from Sat 24 July to Wed 30 July; we’d love you to come too. Contact John for more information.
For Sale. Di has damson jam and marmalade for sale. All proceeds to the Peace Hospice. Please contact Di to make an order.
Alpha is continuing on Wednesday evenings. We would like to encourage members of the congregation to consider coming along – Alpha is for deepening faith as well as discovering it.
Our APCM is on the 18th of October immediately after the morning service. Please come along and prayerfully consider how you might be involved or support St Luke’s in the coming year. Hard copies of last year’s minutes and the Annual report are available in the Gathering Area.
The Church is open for our 8.30am, 10.30am and 7pm services on Sundays. The 10.30 will continue to be live-streamed for those who are unable to come. We will be observing government guidelines re face coverings, social distancing, and hand hygiene, so please come prepared to be directed in these (e.g. spaced seating with lots of gaps). Children and youth groups are available. Please note: Bibles won’t be available so please bring your own if you need one. Please don’t come if you have any C19 symptoms.

St Luke’s Covid-19 Emergency Fund. If anybody is able to contribute to the St Luke’s Covid-19 Emergency Fund it would be most appreciated. Giving may be done in the usual way online, with the gift earmarked as above. Any unused funds will be applied to Charitable purposes. If you know of anyone who might benefit from this fund, please let the office know.
