A stunning new banner adorns the Gathering Area at St Luke’s.
Creative Space members have made leaves, animals, birds and fish to adorn a ‘Tree of life’ banner. The banner depicts the tree of life from the New Testament book of Revelation. It reflects the seasons and the tree’s proximity to water.
Laura painstakingly embroidered two Bible verses to ensure the banner points us towards God:
“The river of the water of life…the tree of life…the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” Revelation 22:1-2
“The person who delights in the law of the Lord…they are like a tree planted by streams of water…whatever they do prospers.” Psalm 1:2-3
It has been a community project for over a year and in mid November, finally, with the hard work of Tass and Wendy, the banner was completed and hung on the wall in the Gathering Area.
