In May, around 40 ladies met for a morning workshop of watercolour painting and oil pastel artwork
Following what was described as a ‘yummy’ breakfast and a five-minute reflection on the hymn ‘What a friend we have in Jesus’, everyone settled down to work on experimenting with colour and techniques.
For some, this was a new venture, whereas others were more experienced. As friends together, everyone helped and encouraged each other along the way as various techniques were practised, such as creating colour wheels, and mixing and blending to achieve different effects.
Then work began in earnest. The themes were: Road to Horizon, Night Time, Dolphin, Sunset over the Water and Tulips. Slowly but surely, masterpieces began to emerge. By the end of the morning everyone had a piece of artwork to be proud of and we were asking for a similar session at a later date.

We meet every month to try out a range of crafts and new members are always welcome.
