On 28th September at the Readers’ Annual Celebration Service at St Albans Cathedral, with Bishop Jane of Hertford officiating, Simon Trundle was admitted and licensed as a Church of England Reader (or ‘licensed lay minister’).
Simon said after his licensing, “It was great to see so many supporters from St Luke’s, and from wider afield at the service, which itself was a mixture of uplifting worship, the challenging and the joyful, and the making of a deeply spiritual commitment. Thank you to you all.”
In the evening, the church family gathered at St Luke’s for a short service of praise and thanksgiving followed by a celebratory meal in the church hall.
